Dan has always had an interest in carpentry, however his passion for wood turning began when he was unexpectedly given a wood turning lathe from an uncle. Fifteen years later, Dan has developed a recognisable style of turning, with a focus on exceptional quality of finish and an inherent understanding of how each piece of wood "speaks".

Starting in a small shed in 2009, he realised his ability to rise to creative challenges by building an extension to house his rapidly expanding tool collection and material store, making efficient use of the limited space available. 

​

Since 2016 he has operated from his larger, purpose-built workshop, where he turns products from locally-sourced wood including bowls, platters, goblets, as well as creating modern, bespoke furniture. More recently he has expanded into larger wood working projects, both internal and external. 

​

In 2020, Dan had the opportunity to focus on these activities full-time. He can now respond to your carpentry needs which include (but are not limited to) garden rooms and shed design and builds, internal and external carpentry work including bespoke furniture, and gardening work including fencing and pergolas. All this, as well as general "handyman" requirements.
